The 25-year-old won the WBA ‘interim’ middleweight title as Chudinov suffered a cut above his left eye early in the contest which was followed by a barrage of shots from the Brit thereafter.
Chudinov undoubtedly deserves a significant amount of credit for his bravery, but Eubank Jr was able to bounce back after losing last time out by sealing a TKO win with just 51 seconds remaining in the 12th and final round.
With a new title around his new waist, Eubank insisted that he only has one thing on his mind and that is gaining redemption by defeating his domestic rival in a rematch.
“I’m ready for redemption. Billy Joe Saunders I’m coming for you,” he told BoxNation, as reported by BBC Sport.
“I want a rematch. I know what Billy is about, and the boxing public know that I’m a league above him. I now know I can go 12 rounds and turn up in the 12th.”
Eubank Jr certainly impressed in the first clash as he made a huge step up in class to give Saunders a tough fight which surprised many.
However, he was punished for making a slow start to the bout and Saunders’ superior boxing skills came to the fore while Eubank tired late on after making a comeback with some big shots.
It remains to be seen when the rematch can be made given that Saunders is waiting on a world title fight, but his response was pretty simple…
