Mitchell will take on three-weight world champion Jorges Linares for the WBC lightweight crown after producing an impressive performance against Daniel Estrada last time out in January.
The Londoner has seemingly put his troubles behind him and looked more focused in his last fight, and he has been rewarded with the opportunity of winning a world title in just over two months time.
Meanwhile, Selby will take on Evgeny Gradovich for the IBF world featherweight title as he also impressed in his last outing as he successfully stopped Joel Brunker.
While that in itself is great news for the Matchroom stable and British boxing fans, Anthony Joshua will also feature on the bill as he takes on American heavyweight Kevin ‘Kingpin’ Johnson.
The pair had been scheduled to meet earlier this year, but a back injury ensured that Joshua was forced to postpone the bout. However, it has now been rescheduled, but the Olympic gold medallist will first return to action in Newcastle on April 4 in warm-up fight.
“This is a huge night for British boxing and today’s announcement is just the beginning,” said Hearn, Matchroom Boxing noted.
“I’m delighted to deliver shots for Kevin and Lee in the UK and they have every chance of becoming World champions on May 30.”
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale at the end of next week, and it promises to be an exciting night of action with all three British hopes confident of getting the job done.
