The pair have engaged in a public war of words for months now after they had a bitter falling out after being extremely close with one another.
While 50 publicly suggested that Mayweather was dumb and mocked him for not being able to read after an embarrassing radio interview, the unbeaten American superstar insisted that the rapper and entrepreneur was irrelevant.
However, the pair were reunited in Las Vegas on Wednesday night and it appears that all is well between them again as they posed for a photo with 50 saying that his “brother” was ready for his May 2 showdown with Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand.
Given all the insults that have flown between the pair through the media, this looks as though they have finally called a truce and ultimately it will lead to speculation over whether or not the rapper will be walking his friend into the ring next Saturday.
While the likes of Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne have previously done so, it would undoubtedly be a significant deal both in the sporting and entertainment world to see 50 back on the scene and in the ring prior to the fight.
Meanwhile, fans will of course be treated to Pacquiao’s entrance song which he recorded himself and directed the video for which is all in aid of a song dedicated to the Filipino people who he insists he will be fighting for next weekend.
It is certainly a clash of styles and personalities between these two pound-for-pound greats of the sport, and their rivalry will finally be settled in just over a week’s time.
