Pacquiao has hinted Mayweather fight is near: Pac-Man reveals negotiations almost complete.
The pair have been locked in negotiations for months over a bout in May, with Pacquiao insisting that he had agreed to terms weeks ago and was merely waiting for his opponent to sign the contract.
The Filipino insisted that he had accepted a 60-40 purse split in favour of his rival while he had also agreed to a drug-testing protocol as well as the date, venue, ring-walk order and other fight night details.
In contrast, noise from Mayweather’s camp was that there was no contract to sign and the usual blame game between the two parties continued.
However, it is widely acknowledged that a break-through was made when the pair met face-to-face for the first time at an NBA game earlier this month.
Pacquiao then invited Mayweather to his hotel suite later that night, with the unbeaten American leaking a video a week later of them agreeing that they needed to make the fight for the fans.
Finally, it appears as though they will deliver on that promise and as ever, it will be Mayweather who announces it as a joint pay-per-view telecast between Showtime and HBO will also likely be revealed.
Basically every1 involved in #MayweatherPacquiao (both sides) simply waiting for Floyd to announce. All are calm & say negotiation complete.
