Spokesman confident Ali will not be in hospital for too long…
Boxing legend Muhammed Ali has been admitted to hospital with pneumonia but he remains in a stable condition with his spokesman revealing that he will likely be out of hospital soon.
The 72-year-old was taken to hospital in an undisclosed location on Saturday and he is receiving treatment by a team of doctors.
The former world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medallist is expected to make a full recovery from the illness with spokesman Bob Gunnell giving fans an update on his condition.
“Because the pneumonia was caught early, his prognosis is good with a short hospital stay expected,” Gunnell said.
However, he declined to give any more information or details on the former boxer’s condition and he stressed the fact that Ali’s family was asking for privacy at this time.
Ali has suffered from Parkinson’s disease since 1981, three years after he retired from the sport, and made his last public appearance back in September when he attended a ceremony in Louisville, Kentucky for the Muhammed Ali Humanitarian Awards.
The man that many to this day still describe as the greatest boxer in the sport’s history has millions of fans around the world praying for a full and speedy recovery as they await further news on his condition in the coming days.
