Tony Bellew has dismissed claims first reported by TMZ that he was involved in a brawl with another actor during the filming of new film ‘Creed’.

According to TMZ, Bellew was involved in a fight with the actor who plays his cornerman in the film, and it was ‘Rocky’, Sylvester Stallone, of all people who was on hand to break it up.
They added in their report that the police arrived at the scene but they did not need to take any further action. However, both Bellew and the studio have denied the story and the former labelled it as “pathetic”.
Creed is based on the story of Apollo Creed’s son who is following in his father footsteps into the ring, with Bellew playing ‘Pretty’ Ricky Conlan, his opponent.
The 32-year-old has put his own boxing career on hold after defeating rival Nathan Cleverly in Liverpool back in November, but he is relishing the opportunity to star in a huge Hollywood film that will give him further exposure outside of the UK.
Bellew addressed the rumour on Twitter and denied that any sort of incident took place: “Despite ridiculous media reports I’ve not been involved in any kind of ‘fight’ on set of Creed! Or anywhere else for that matter,” he wrote.
While the Merseysider has been known for losing his cool in the past, particularly in a press conference with Cleverly back in 2011, it doesn’t appear as though there is any truth behind the story and so he will continue to film as part of an extensive 40-day filming period before returning home and securing a title shot.
