4. Arthur Abraham (42-4, 28 KOs)
One of the best veterans of the super middleweight division, Arthur Abraham is coming off three straight retentions of his WBO world title and is in the midst of a rivalry with Robert Stieglitz that has been one of the most fun to watch in the division. Never having been afraid to fight against the younger boxers, Abraham would give DeGale quite a run for his money.
There are a few problems with Abraham though: First is that he already owns losses to most of the major contenders in the Super middleweight division – not very appealing. Second is he hasn’t had match outside of Germany in four years, and considering his 2-3 record outside of his comfort zone, it’s possible he just prefers fighting on his turf in front of his own crowd. Third is the scheduling issue – Abraham is scheduled to fight Robert Stieglitz in July, which means he may not fight again until January or even February in 2016. That’s a long time to wait for a next fight.
