Brook has made no secret of wanting a domestic showdown with bitter rival Amir Khan, but that fight looks less and less likely to happen this year as the weeks pass.
As a result, the IBF welterweight champion will assess his options as he eyes a quick return to the ring later this summer while he isn’t ruling out taking on the top names in what is a packed division full of talent.
While Khan is an unrealistic option at this point, Keith Thurman is another fight that can be ruled out for 2015 given that that fight can be much bigger in the future and there is too much risk involved for both at this stage.
However, what is clear is that the 29-year-old needs to take on a top-quality opponent as he risks facing further criticism after taking on Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin in his first two title defences.
