5. Chris Arreola
This ultimately comes down to how quick promoter Eddie Hearn wants to fast-track Joshua as many believe that he is ready to step up and take on anyone in the heavyweight division.
Joshua isn’t at the level of being ready to face the likes of Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder just yet, while names such as Alexander Povetkin and Tyson Fury seem too dangerous at this stage.
However, fans don’t want to see him in with another fighter that will take a few punches and fold. Arreola is a two-time world title challenger, and with the connection with Bermane Stiverne and Wilder, it could be the kind of fight that gages where Joshua is right now.
Joshua is ranked in the top 15 by all four governing bodies, but a win over Arreola could get him credit and recognition outside of the ring too.
