Accident prone Brad Jones will keep his place in the Liverpool goal for the third straight match after Brendan Rodgers confirmed Simon Mingolet will stay on the bench against Arsenal.
The Reds boss dropped the Belgian when his side visited Old Trafford last weekend and Jones was again in the starting XI in the midweek Capital One Cup quarter-final against AFC Bournemouth
Mignolet has been in poor form since the start of the season but it was still surprising Rodgers dropped his main goalkeeper for such a big game, but he has said he will continue to follow suit when the Gunners visit Merseyside this weekend.
Despite being at fault for two of Manchester United’s goals last week and his mistake allowing Bournemouth their first on Wednesday, Brad Jones will start between the sticks against Arsenal.

Liverpool’s defensive summer signing Dejan Lovren, who was substituted at half time against Bournemouth, is also a big doubt for the Arsenal tie with a groin issue.
Despite his side thrashing the Gunners 5-1 last season, the Liverpool manager says he will not be counting his laurels on Sunday.
“Arsenal are a top side with outstanding players. It will be a difficult game for us,” said Rodgers.
