American triumphs by two-shots at Pebble Beach.
In-form Brandt Snedeker moved into the top-four in the world after recording a two-shot victory in the AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.
Snedeker already topped the PGA Tour’s FedEx Standings following an impressive start to the season and he followed up runners-up finishes to Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson his last two events by defeating a stellar field in California.
Heading into the final round in a share of the lead with James Hahn, Snedeker shot a seven-under par 65 to finish on a 19-under par total, two shots clear of fellow American Chris Kirk.
It was Ryder Cup star Snedeker’s fifth victory of his career and he told the PGA Tour’s website: “Feels great to finish one. The last two weeks, playing great but running into two Hall of Famers really motivated me to go out (and prove) that I can play good and handle the lead.I love being in this position and today was a lot of fun.”
It was an all-American top-five with Kevin Stadler, Jimmy Walker and overnight co-leader Hahn finishing in a tie for third, four shots adrift of Snedeker. Australian Jason Day took sixth on the 13-under mark.
Bryce Molder, who ended tied 12th, produced the lowest round of the day with a closing 64.
