Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has sparked concern about his future at the club recently, as his failure to put pen-to-paper on a new one-year deal has lead people to believe that he will move on this summer.

However, Blues boss Jose Mourinho is keen to keep hold of the 31-year-old, and he is aware that time is fast running out to tie him down as he will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with either Bayern Munich or PSG, who have booth shown an interest in him recently.
Mourinho has billed Ivanovic as one of his best ever signings, and the Serbian international himself is believed to be keen on staying put as his young family are settled in a leafy area of Surrey, though he has fallen behind in the pay scale at the club.
Mourinho is aware that he can come to an arrangement over the financial details, as it would surely cost him much more to find a replacement for someone who has made the right-back slot so unequivocally his own.
