Felipe Melo is clueless about his proposed move to Eastlands.
Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo, who has spent the last two seasons on-loan at Galatasaray, has been strongly linked with Manchester City but the midfielder admits he is clueless about the deal.
Melo joined La Bianconeri for a colossal £22m from Fiorentina in 2009, but after playing two solid seasons at the club he has since been shipped out to Turkey.
However, in the Super Lig the Brazil international really shone, picking up two Player of the Season awards and two league titles.
Now City are circling for the defensive midfielder but as Melo reveals, so far he has not been approached about any prospective deal.
“To be honest I know nothing,” the Brazil international told Portal da Band.
“Do not rule anything out. Galatasaray is a great team, where I was very happy in those two years.
“I believe that Galatasaray are also in negotiations. This is the week that we will know the future.
“If I go back there, I’m very happy. If not, I’ll keep rooting for the club.”
Currently it seems that Melo would be leaning more favourably towards a move back to the Turkish giants, but with the spending capabilities at the Etihad Stadium Juve may be tempted by a large bid from City.
Either way it is apparent that the 29-year-old will be departing from the Serie A champions; despite effectively doing so in 2011 having not played for the Old Lady since then.
Melo has played 22 matches for Brazil as well since making his international debut in 2008, scoring two goals.
