Kaka has given Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers some advice by insisting that he should build around Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian scored a superb winner in his side’s opening game of the season at Stoke on Sunday, and it continued an impressive last 12 months in which he has played an increasingly important role.

Although Kaka insists that his compatriot won’t be able to get to the level of former influential captain Steven Gerrard anytime soon, he is adamant that the Reds need to use Coutinho as their focal point moving forward.
“I have been a big admirer of Coutinho and he can be a very important player for Liverpool and Brazil,” he told The Mirror.
“There will be a lot of expectation on him with Liverpool fighting to get back into the Champions League, but I know that he can handle it.
“One great player doesn’t make a team, but you can build a team around one great player, and I believe he can be that player.”
Rodgers spent big again this summer with the signings of Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino amongst others, but there is a general belief that Coutinho will be key to their chances of getting back into the Champions League.
In contrast, if they fail to make the top four this season, it could lead to speculation over his future as there will undoubtedly be several clubs around Europe monitoring his progress.
