The Brazilian’s current side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are confident that they can hold onto their star in January, and claim he won’t be leaving at least until next summer.
“Until the end of the season neither of them will move because if you watch them play you understand that have not been forced to remain in Hoffenheim, but they are happy to play with this team,” said sporting director Alexander Rose regarding Firmino and his teammate Kevin Volland.
Firmino has recently been capped by Brazil, and the playmaker is in the midst of a breakout season in the Bundesliga. A switch to the Premier League and a top European club could prove too difficult to turn down, but it looks as though his suitors will have to wait until next season the bring him in.
