Starting in January 2015 the Spanish giants cannot conduct transfer business for 12 months.
FIFA have rejected Barcelona’s appeal over their transfer ban and as of January 2015 the club will not be able to conduct transfer business for two complete windows.
Barcelona banned from signing players for “two complete and consecutive transfer periods” from Jan 2015

The Catalans were given the ban by FIFA back in April after breaking the rules on signing international players under the age of 18.
However, they lodged an appeal against the sanction and it was put on hold pending appeal, although clearly international football’s governing body have decided not to change their mind.
Whilst Barca are still allowed to sell players they cannot buy anyone new in either the 2015 January window or next summer and their ban won’t be lifted until January 2016.
It means the final two weeks of the current window could be extremely busy as new head coach Luis Enrique now has to prepare his squad for the next 18 months.
