Former Sydney Swans and Western Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade is the new coach of the Gold Coast Suns, according to reports.
Fairfax Media report that Eade was offered the job on Monday after a meeting with the Suns selection panel in Melbourne.
It is believed the 56-year-old told the expansion club that he had accepted a three-year offer to coach the Suns.
Eade is understood to have informed the Magpies of his decision, and it is believed Collingwood will not stand in his way despite Eade signing a new deal with the club 12 months ago.
An official announcement is expected in the coming hours.
