In an NFL season full of domestic violence controversy, Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer is the latest player to be embroiled in a domestic violence incident.
The Cardinals running back has been formally charged with felony aggravated assault because he allegedly punched his wife before throwing a shoe at his 17-month-old son.
Fortunately, his son was not hurt after the shoe hit him. Dwyer will also be charged with eight misdemeanors in addition to his aggravated assault charge.
It remains to be seen how serious Dwyer’s punishment will be if he is convicted, but it will be no surprise if the Cardinals decide to release him.
