There was speculation that Manning might retire after he played through an upset loss to the Indianapolis Colts since he had played with a thigh injury.
The 38-year-old quarterback will be 39 by the time the 2015 season begins, but his return immediately makes the Broncos Super Bowl contenders again.
This will be Manning’s fourth season with the Broncos, and he will look to mimic John Elway by winning a second Super Bowl ring at an older age.
The official Broncos Twitter account announced the return of Manning.
