The New England Patriots have endured their share of drama throughout the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era despite winning three Super Bowls and making six trips to the big game.
They are currently being investigated for allegedly deflating balls, and it has been discovered that 11 of 12 game balls in the AFC Championship had an air level below league standards.
The Patriots also endured a controversy in the 2013 offseason when tight end Aaron Hernandez was indicted for murder, and he has been out of the NFL since. The charges consist of the former Patriots tight end killing Odin Lloyd, who dated Hernandez’s fiancée’s sister.
Hernandez has also been accused of killing two men in a nightclub after having a drink spilled on him in 2012, but he has maintained that he is innocent.
His trial is expected to start on Tuesday with opening statements after the jury selection process ends.
