The former 2,000 yard rusher is reportedly fine after being the victim of a drive-by shooting in Florida early this morning.
Former Tennessee Titans and New York Jets RB Chris Johnson was shot and injured in a drive-by shooting near a mall in Orange County, Florida this morning. One of his two friends at the scene died from gunshot wounds.

Steven Lemongello of the Orlando Sentinel reported that Chris Johnson was shot in the shoulder while his friend Reggie Johnson was shot in the hand, shoulder and leg. The driver of the car, Dreekins Oriko Johnson, was killed in the shooting.

Lemongello reported that the shooting took place at about 4:09 am at the intersection of Southland Boulevard and Orange Blossom Trail, several blocks north of the Florida Mall.

Chris Johnson and Reggie Johnson are reportedly in stable condition according to WFTV.com.
An 8-year NFL veteran, Johnson won NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2009 when he became just the 6th player in NFL history to record 2,000 rushing yards in a season while playing for the Tennessee Titans. Johnson was cut by the Titans after the 2013 season and signed with the New York Jets, but failed to break 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his career. He was cut by the team at the end of the 2014 season.
