Bale’s will-he-won’t-he saga with Real Madrid has been running all summer, but have the Spanish giants pushed their luck?
Bryan Swanson, Chief News Reporter for Sky Sports, has claimed Monday morning that Tottenham Hotspur are considering more than one offer for Gareth Bale:
We're told Tottenham considering offers from more than one club for Gareth Bale. No deal yet agreed with Real Madrid. #THFC

This news comes as some shock as, for almost the entirety of the summer, Real Madrid have been the only club with any serious chance of signing Bale – or so we have been lead to believe.
It could be that the Madrid club may well have finally pushed their luck in haggling with the North London club.
Spurs have stated from the off that the Welshman was absolutely not for sale. Despite various Madrid-based media outlets constantly speculating over the move, White Hart Lane has remained mostly silent over the move.
Now, with Madrid seemingly failing to meet Spurs’ alleged £100m asking price, Tottenham are open to other offers for their two-time PFA Player of the Season.
What other club could afford Gareth Bale? Manchester United were thought to be preliminarily interested this summer, but quickly fell out of the running as it became apparent that they could not afford such an enormous outlaying for just the one player.
Alternatively this could simply be a false-flag by Spurs, intended to force through the transfer quicker and panic Madrid into matching their asking price.
Whatever the situation, with just one week until the close of the transfer window fans will soon have their answer.
