Anthony Martial’s big-money move to Manchester United is set to have a major impact on French amateur club Les Ulis, with reports suggesting the sixth-tier side will net a massive windfall from the transfer.
According to Press Association, Martial played nine years of his youth football at the Parisian club between 2001 and 2009 before his move to Ligue 1 giants Lyon in 2010.
The report suggests Les Ulis are eligible to receive three years’ worth of development fees, meaning the club will likely receive 0.75 per cent of his transfer to Manchester United.
It means the tiny club in southwest Paris will receive an estimated £270k from the deal, a huge financial windfall for a club of its status.
It is understood United could pay up to £58m for Martial when factoring in bonuses and add-ons, however, this is not expected to increase the fee Les Ulis receive for the transfer.
