Arsenal transfer news
The Colombian shot-stopper has proven a good signing by the Gunners since he joined the club from Nice last summer, recently replacing Wojciech Szczesny as the club’s number one.
Ospina kept another clean sheet for Arsenal this weekend as they held on to a 1-0 win away to Burnley, making it 11 wins out of his 12 league games, setting a superb record of 92% win ratio, according to the Metro.
Stats are sometimes misleading and it’s clearly early days yet for the 26-year-old, but it certainly shows his promising start to life at the Emirates Stadium and gives previous number one keeper Szczesny little hope of working his way back into Arsene Wenger’s starting lineup anytime soon.
The Pole has played in Arsenal’s FA Cup games so far this season, but it remains to be seen if that will continue as Wenger’s side chase the trophy towards the end of the campaign.
