It was a see-sawing affair in the nation’s capital but Brisbane managed to grind out the victory in the second half.
The Raiders were dogged and tried hard but were ultimately frustrated in the end with another loss.
Jack Reed showed great footwork to get the first points of the match.
Soon the Broncos were in again.
But Canberra came alive with a fantastic team try.
They tied the game up at 12-12 with their second four-pointer.
Then the Broncos notched a fantastic effort. They went 100 metres, the ball changing hands numerous times, to score just before half-time.
It’s a contender for try of the season.
It was a crucial point in the contest and in the second half Corey Oates edged them further ahead.
Two penalties late on was enough to get Brisbane home.
