The Broncos are in great form and were too classy for the Eels to handle.
The first points were scored by Brisbane, through the boot of Corey Parker. On 14 minutes Jack Reed extended the lead when he stretched out and scored in the corner.
Parker couldn’t convert the try but nine minutes he was successful with another penalty. The Broncos were up 8-0.
Just before half-time Parramatta hit back. Bureta Faraimo touched down and the Eels were back in the game.
In the second half the Broncos were over again after six minutes. Josh McGuire scored against the run of play after a Parramatta dropped ball.
Soon the Eels cut the lead back to four points when Faraimo got his second try of the night.
Brisbane’s lead was only four, until Parker slotted another penalty. With 19 minutes to go Anthony Millford put the Broncos further ahead.
The Eels had to be the next to score, and they were on 69 minutes when Faraimo cemented his hat-trick.
They were still in the hunt, trailing by six with nine minutes left. But on 76 minutes Millford finished them off with a fine solo 92-metre run.
Brisbane’s impressive 2015 continues, and so does the Eels’ inconsistency.
