Brisbane Broncos half-back Ben Hunt has re-signed with the NRL club until the end of the 2017 season.
Hunt was off-contract at the end of next season, but the Broncos have moved quickly to lock-in the 24-year-old following his breakthrough campaign.
The playmaker was in contention for the Dally M medal on Monday night before finishing in fifth position with 28 votes.
Hunt has also been named at half-back for the Prime Minister’s XI against Papua New Guinea on October 12.
“It has certainly been a week to remember,” Hunt told the club’s website.
“Now to have my future sorted for the next three years at this great club makes it even better.
“I am really happy that this is done now, as I will be able to have a break some time before Christmas and then start working on a big pre-season for 2015.”
