Star centre set to again watch on from the sideline.
Injury-prone rep centre Justin Hodges has been ruled out of the Brisbane Broncos clash with the Gold Coast Titans with rib injury.
Hodges will miss the Queensland derby after failing to finish training on Wednesday with his absence causing a severe shuffle of the side’s backline.
Jordan Kahu will move from the wing to the centres to replace Hodges with Lachlan Maranta moving on to the wing.
Rookie speedster Jake Granville will also make his debut for the club from the bench as a utility player and the bench will be David Stagg, Scott Anderson, Jarrod Wallace and Jake Granville.
In a worrying sign the Broncos have one just one of their last 10 games when Hodges has not been in the side, underlying his importance to coach Anthony Griffin.
For the Titans, they are boosted in the front-row with the return of dynamic hooker Matt Srama who returns to action after a dislocated finger.
Luke Douglas is also set to play despite the recent passing of his mother.
Brisbane will be out to stop their slide down the ladder having lost their last two games, against Souths and the Cowboys, with the Broncos sitting precariously inside the top eight by just five points differential ahead of Cronulla.
The Titans have also been inconsistent in recent weeks with their one-point win against St George Illawarra the highlight after being thumped by Newcastle and pipped by New Zealand.
