Place in side to face Titans on the line for skipper.
Brisbane captain Sam Thaiday will contest his contrary contact charge arising from an incident with referee Adam Devcich in his side’s loss to Melbourne.
After the Storm scored through a set play off the back of a scrum, Thaiday approached Devcich to complain he had been held back in the scrum by Bryan Norrie, stopping him from making a tackle on fullback Billy Slater.
To illustrate his point Thaiday grabbed and tugged on the sleeve of Devcich, with the NRL match review panel hitting him with the charge.
The NRL rules state that if a referee has been harassed or intimidated, that they make a report, however, after legal consultation, the Broncos will fight the charge saying there was no malice in Thaiday’s actions.
Brisbane will need all the help they can get when they look to take on the Titans in the south-east Queensland derby, with just win from the first month of the season.
At times they looked impressive in their loss to the Storm last round in shaking off their point-scoring woes, but still fell short of the premiers, 32-26.
Justin Hodges has again been named in the run-on side, which has been the case for the past fortnight only to be a late withdrawal due to a hamstring strain.
However, at half-time in his side’s game against Melbourne, the Queensland star have his assurances he would be back to face the Titans.
The Titans have named representative backrower Ashley Harrison for the clash after he missed last weekend’s win against Penrith with a concussion.
