Captain is back to lead the side ahead of the Queensland derby against the Cowboys.
Brisbane have named captain Sam Thaiday for the crucial clash against the North Queensland Cowboys, after the representative star served a one-match ban for touching an official.
Thaiday has been named in the front-row to partner Ben Hannant with his inclusion moving Scott Anderson back to the bench with Nick Slyney retaining his spot on the interchange.
Justin Hodges did not train with the side on Tuesday renewing fears the star centre would be in doubt again this season with injury.
However, the club said he was excused from training due to sickness and should be right to play against the Cowboys on Friday night.
Brisbane shook off their point-scoring worries in their win against the Gold Coast last round, as they blitzed the Titans in the last 10 minutes to run out easy 32-12 winners.
The Cowboys also picked up an important win in round five, but it was less clinical than the 30-0 scorelines against the Panthers would suggest.
A lack of discipline with ball in hand could have cost North Queensland more against a better-drilled side, with only the Panthers poor defence, which saw them miss 27 tackles, allowing the home run to run rampant.
With both sides evenly matched up out wide for pace and skill, the game will be won in the midddle of the field between the two forward packs.
Scott Bolton had a huge game for the Cowboys last round in racking up 19 runs for 179 metres and 25 tackles, while Test props James Tamou (18 runs 199 metres, 24 tackles) and Matt Scott (15 runs, 164 metres and 17 tackles) also led from the front.
