Ibrahimovic ‘born to’ play for Manchester United says legend
England lineup to face Italy with Harry Kane replacing Danny Welbeck upfront in 3-5-2 formation
The former Liverpool and Manchester United player has long been involved with horse racing, and this was a big win for the ex-England international.
Owen co-owns the horse, which is trained by Tom Dascombe, and Richard Kingscote rode the seven-year-old to the victory, pulling him out in to the lead with three furlongs to go and staying there.
Ahzeemah and Star Empire both tried to reel Brown Panther in, but were unable to keep up with Owen’s horse.
The former Stoke City man said: “‘He’s been a superstar from day one and this man (Dascombe) has trained him to perfection. He always jumps really well out of the traps and he found himself right up there. The rest is history, as they say. He’s a special horse. I’ll probably never replace a horse like this. It’s been an amazing story.”
Owen has been having more luck with the horses than he has in his commentary career, the Metro reporting on one example of the pundit being trolled following an encounter he commentated on.
