REPORT: Olympic gold medalist and Kardashians star Bruce Jenner becoming a woman
Bruce Jenner’s mother Esther has confirmed her son is undergoing a transition to become a woman.
After months upon months of speculation, Esther Jenner admitted the Olympic gold medal winner is undergoing a sex change.
“I just learned about his transition. Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long, long talk about it,” she told Radar Online.
Esther says she is “proud” of her son for making the decision, and believes he still deserves to keep the respect he had gained after his Olympic gold medal feats.
“I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, a wonderful public speaker,” Ms Jenner said.
“He instills enthusiasm in people. He’s gifted. Right now I am more proud of him for what he’s allowing himself to do.
“I am more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal around his neck. He deserves all the respect.
“I support him whole-heartedly. I just love him like I always have.”
Jenner and his wife Kris announced their divorce in December 2013 and have two children together, Kendall, 19 and Kylie, 17.
Bruce also has three sons from a previous marriage.
Esther Jenner says that despite Bruce’s gender transformation, her son would continue to date women.
“Even as a woman, he wants to continue sleeping with women,” she continued.
“He loves women and having sex with women, always has, always will.
“What he never liked was his body and being a man. He always felt he was born in the wrong body.”
