The teams have been confirmed ahead of this evening’s match between Burnley and Chelsea at Turf Moor, as Jose Mourinho’s Blues open their Premier League campaign with a trip to Lancashire.
The big news for the visitors is that Belgian stopper Thibaut Courtois is given the nod ahead of Petr Cech in goal, whilst Mourinho has also resisted the temptation of giving left back Filipe Luis a debut, with Branislav Ivanovic starting.
Striker Diego Costa does start upfront, however, as does playmaker Oscar in something of a surprise selection, with Andre Schurrle out wide.
For Sean Dyche’s Burnley, strike force Lukas Jutkiewicz and Danny Ings will be looking to cause issues for Chelsea, whilst experienced midfielder Matty Taylor makes his debut.
