Panthers QB Cam Newton was not injured in the previously reported car accident in which his car flipped over several times.

After fears that a he may may have been injured in a car crash in Charlotte, North Carolina, Panthers QB Cam Newton was reportedly fine after the crash and was taken to the hospital only as a precaution.
CMPD source says no injuries to Cam Newton.He did not want to be transported. Taken to hospital as a precaution.

Newton was apparently fine enough to smile at cameras despite an image released of him on a stretcher:

Newton’s car apparently flipped several times over and a second car crashed on the bridged at the same time. No update yet as to how the accident will affect Newton’s playing status.
