Cameroon player ratings after their World Cup capitulation at the hands of Croatia in Manaus.
Goalkeeper/Defence
Charles Itandje 4
Very poor goalkeeping to be beaten at the near post on the angle by Ivan Perisic for Croatia’s second, however he wasn’t helped by the players in front of him at all.
Stephane M’Bia 6.5
One of the only shining lights in what was an extremely poor performance by Cameroon, M’Bia caused Croatia problems down the flank but the red card to Alex Song killed his attacking ambitions.
Aurieliene Chedjou 5.5
Was solid enough in defence for the first half, but was sacrificed at half time by Volke Finke as Cameroon made a tactical change after Song’s sending off.
Nicholas N’Koulou 5.5
Made a few vital tackles and interceptions, but was part of a defence that totally fell apart in the second half.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto 4.5
Was left isolated on the left and was taken apart by Ivan Perisic and Ivica Olic. Had a spat with his team-mate Moukandjo and threw a head-butt at him – a day to forget for the QPR man.
