Canberra, on the other hand, have a win and a loss after facing Cronulla and the Wests Tigers respectively. The Raiders will fancy their chances against a struggling Dragons outfit.
Not helping the visitors cause is the fact they haven’t won in Canberra since 2000. Josh Dugan is again absent for the Dragons, so Gerald Beale has been moved to fullback and Peter Mata’utia is in the centres.
Dugan is a big loss so more pressure will be on halves Gareth Widdop and Benji Marshall.
Canberra has been forced into a few changes, with the injured Jack Wighton replaced by Jordan Rapana at fullback. Jarrad Kennedy comes into the centres and Josh Papalii will start in the backrow.
The Raiders weren’t far off the pace against the Kiwis, but will need to be more creative with the ball in hand.
Wighton has been a star for them after the first two rounds and his absence is a plus for the Dragons.
