Canterbury prop James Graham has apologised to teammate Mitch Brown after giving him an angry on-field spray on Saturday night, but says the winger knows not to take him too seriously.
Graham exploded after Brown gave away possession during the opening half of the Bulldogs’ 18-17 golden point victory over Manly, delivering a barrage of abuse at his teammate whilst also pushing his hands into this chest.
The Englishman said on Monday that he is good friends with Brown and that there was no issue between the pair.
“Emotions get the better of me sometimes,” Graham said.
“Mitch and me are really good friends and I apologised to him but he knows not to take me seriously.
“If he took it personally every single teammate I’ve had I’d be speaking to no one.
“I apologised to him straight away and I’ll treat him to coffee this week but mind you I always treat him for coffee.
“He’s tighter than cramps.”
The Bulldogs take on the Panthers in Saturday’s massive preliminary final.
