Bulldogs prop Sam Kasiano has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to an ankle injury.
Canterbury’s premiership chances have taken a big hit after prop Sam Kasiano was ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.
Kasiano’s ankle injury is worse than first thought and the 23-year-old will require surgery this week.
Bulldogs physiotherapist Steve McCullagh confirmed to the club’s website that the New Zealand international would miss the rest of the season.
“We can confirm we have a tentative surgery date booked for Thursday,” Bulldogs physiotherapist Steve McCullagh told the club’s website.
“He’s done a good job with the injury and we won’t be seeing Sam again this season.”
In other Bulldogs injury news, forward Llyod Perrett injured his ankle in last Friday’s win over Parramatta and is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
Fellow forward Josh Jackson suffered concussion in the same match but is expected to be cleared for the Bulldogs’ clash with Wests Tigers.
