Dogs make it five wins on the trot to stay on top in the NRL.
Canterbury secured yet another close NRL win as they recorded a 16-12 victory against Newcastle at Sydney’s Olympic Stadium on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs were forced to work all the way before taking a lead inside the final 10 minutes and hanging on to record their fifth successive win and go to the top of the NRL ladder.
After a hard-fought first half, the Bulldogs took a 10-4 lead to the break.
Robert Rochow crossed seven minutes after half-time, however, to see the Knights put their noses in front 12-10.
The video referee was called onto put the Bulldogs in front again, when a try was awarded to front-rower Aidan Tolman after he cleaned up a loose bomb in the 70th minute.
