The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff is expected to be chosen as the venue for the 2017 Champions League final.
No proposal has yet been made but UEFA are said to strongly support the idea after being impressed by the city’s hosting of the Super Cup between Real Madrid and Sevilla at the Cardiff City Stadium last August.
Milan will host the biggest game in club football next season and the Millennium Stadium is in pole position to follow them with that honour, according to Sky Sports.
