Cristiano Ronaldo caps off personal-best season with hat trick
Manager Carlo Ancelotti bracing for sacking by Real Madrid
If the worst case scenario occurs, Ancelotti has already revealed that he plans to take a sabbatical for a year.
“My future is clear in my head. Either I stay here at Real Madrid, or I stop for one year,” Ancelotti said to ESPN FC.
It will be even more difficult for Real Madrid to let Ancelotti go now though since his team finished their season with a 7-3 victory.
In this win, Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines by finishing his incredible season with a hat trick to increase his total number of goals to a whopping 61.
Despite Ronaldo’s incredible season and Real Madrid’s past success with Ancelotti at the helm, they were not able to bring home any major trophies this season.
Barcelona has clinched the La Liga title, and they are two points ahead of Real Madrid, who has scored 11 goals in their two games since being knocked out of contention.
