Carlton are the most looked after team by AFL umpires according to statistics released by News Corp from Champion Data.
Champion Data, the official stats supplier to the AFL, reveal the Blues lead the competition in free kicks won, winning more frees than its opposition on 15 occasions this season – four more than the next club in West Coast.
And perhaps unsurprisingly its a Carlton player who has received the most free kicks of any player in the AFL, with Blues skipper Marc Murphy winning 49 free kicks, two more than closest rival Joel Selwood.
Murphy sits atop of most push in the back frees, whilst Selwood holds the title for being on the receiving end of illegal high tackles.
But who has the worst free kick differential in the league?
Yep, you guessed it: Ryan Crowley.
But he does have company.
The Dockers tagger shares the honours with Collingwood ruckman Brodie Grundy, who has given away 19 more free kicks than he has received.
A fair effort from Grundy considering he has featured in just 12 matches this season.
