Carlton has signed Western Bulldogs forward Liam Jones as a replacement for Jarrad Waite.
Jones became a Carlton player with just five minutes remaining until the end of the AFL trade period.
He was traded by the Blues’ pick no.46 in the upcoming AFL national draft.
While it was expected that Jones would join Carlton, the arrival of GWS key forward Tom Boyd accelerated his move from Whitten Oval.
Jones has played 66 games and kicked 68 goals for the Bulldogs since his debut in 2010.
The 23-year-old struggled to nail down a spot for the senior side in 2014 however, playing just 10 games.
