Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a brutal car crash on Tuesday, and it was initially feared that this accident had given him life-threatening injuries.
Although his car was severely wrecked, Newton escaped with only two transverse process fractures in his back. This will keep him out for Week 15 and possibly longer, but the quarterback is grateful for how fortunate he was to avoid more serious damage.
“I’m on somebody’s fantasy league, and I think it’s the man upstairs,” the Panthers quarterback said to the media while talking publicly for the first time since the accident.
