Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen continued to be a reliable weapon for quarterback Cam Newton as he transitioned to life without leading receivers from the 2013 season.

Olsen caught 84 passes, which led the Panthers, and he also tied for the team lead in receiving yards with 1,008 while also catching six touchdown passes.
For his consistent production over the last three seasons, the Panthers have rewarded Olsen with a three-year, $22.5 million contract extension. Olsen will earn $12 million in guaranteed money.
Olsen has reached at least 800 receiving yards since the 2012 season, and he is also a reliable blocking tight end when called upon.
