Rory McIlroy’s case against his former agent has been adjourned until Wednesday, according to the BBC.
The star golfer is suing Horizon Sports Management over a dispute that coincided with McIlroy’s multi-million dollar sponsorship deal with American sportsbrand Nike.
McIlroy says that Horizon charged exorbitant fees over the deal, which was reportedly worth £66 million.
Horizon are counter-suing the world number one for outstanding feed and contractual breaches.
Previous efforts to resolve the dispute via court-ordered mediation have proven unsuccessful.
According to RTE, Judge Brian Cregan was told by McIlroy’s counsel Paul Gallagher SC that “both parties were making progress.”
Judge Cregan adjourned proceedings until 11am Wednesday.
