The 28-year-old has been attracting plenty of interest from top clubs around Europe after struggling to find his best form in a PSG shirt, with Premier League sides among those monitoring his situation.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with Cavani in the past, though it now looks like United are the main contenders to snap him up this summer after Juve decided against making a bid for his services, according to the Metro.
The Red Devils certainly look in need of strengthening up front this summer, with Radamel Falcao leaving Old Trafford after a disappointing loan from AS Monaco, and with Robin van Persie looking past his best.
Cavani could be a major upgrade in attack, with the former Napoli man scoring 30 goals in all competitions this season.
