According to CaughtOffside, the Czech Republic international now looks favourite to join the Gunners next season, with Arsene Wenger looking to sign the established 33-year-old to be his new number one.
Neither Wojciech Szczesny nor David Ospina have quite excelled in the role this season, and Cech is now being eyed up as the solution to this problem after losing his place at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues legend has long been regarded as one of the best in the world in his position, but is now behind youngster Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order and is unsurprisingly seeking a move away to ensure he keeps playing regular first-team football.
It now looks as though a move to Arsenal may be done, with the Secret Footballer tweeting: “Petr Cech to Arsenal is pretty much done with the keeper desperate to leave Chelsea.”
