Arsenal are seemingly confident that they can secure the signing of Petr Cech from rivals Chelsea this summer, with the goalkeeper keen to leave Stamford Bridge after losing his place.

Long regarded as number one for the Blues and as one of the best shot-stoppers in the world, Cech is unhappy at losing his place to Thibaut Courtois this season and that could push through his move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal could certainly do with a new number one for next season, with Wojciech Szczesny losing his place to David Ospina this term and neither perhaps convincing enough as a long-term option in that position.
Chelsea will surely be wary of selling such a top player to a potential title rival, but according to the Daily Mail, the transfer is one of the Gunners’ priorities for the summer and looks increasingly likely to happen.
Southampton middfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is the other major signing expected by Arsenal in the next transfer window.
