The Gunners had been linked with a move for the 23-year-old over the summer, but failed to make a concrete offer and he remained at Celtic Park.
They are believed to be amongst a number of sides interested in bringing him on board in January, but Bhoys boss Ronny Delia has said that it will take a massive offer to convince him to sell.
“It will not be a surprise for me if there is interest in Van Dijk in January, but he will be very expensive,” said Deila.
“Van Dijk is a fantastic player who keeps on improving and I hope he stays with us.”
